
Shelby Gist
Shelby Noelle Gist graduated from Utah Valley University in 2020 in Theater Arts with an emphasis in direction. Since then she has quickly risen to be one of the hottest names in directing in the state. Her directing credits already include: “Passing Strange” at Salt Lake Acting Company, “Something’ to Cry About, a Devised Piece” at the Salt Lake Fringe Festival, “The Hill Cumorah Pageant” in Manchester New York, “Taming of the Shrew” for The Theater Arts Guild, “Time Stands Still” at Utah Valley Universities Platform Series and “The Laramie Project” for the Tectonic Theatre Project. She has spent two years as Artistic Director for An Other Theater Company in Provo Utah and now sits on the Board of Directors. As a minority woman, Shelby revels in telling the stories of the untold.
