La Beene

La Beene has designed nearly 50 productions in the past 10 years for Theatre, Dance, and Opera across the West, including UVU, Sundance Summer Theatre, Salt Lake Acting Company, Plan B Theatre Co., Utah Festival Opera and Musical Theatre, Oregon Cabaret Theatre, Hale Center Theatre, Jackson Hole Playhouse, Clime International, and BYU. As the Commissioner for the Costume Design & Technology Commission for the United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT) she works to provide training and resources to professional and educational costume designers across the U.S. She has her MFA in Costume Design from Brigham Young University. She has taught at the University of North Carolina, the University of Utah, and Brigham Young University and currently works as an Associate Professor of Costume Design and Technology at Utah Valley University and Chair of the Theatre Department.
