Brad Shelton

Set Designer

Brad’s career spans over 30 years of entertainment experience. He received his BA in Theatre Arts from Weber State University and an MFA in Design and Production from the Nationally Ranked Theatre Department at Cal State Fullerton. While at CSUF, he received the Kennedy Center Regional Award for Best Set Design. Brad went on to work for Disney’s Live Entertainment Department; responsible for designing, building, and maintaining attractions and events. After moving to southern Utah, Brad was hired as the resident designer for the Tuacahn Center for the Arts. He designed 25 shows across two stages in 15 years. Three of his productions received the Regional Award for Best Set Design from broadwayworld.com. He also received the 2021 Communicator Award from AIVA for Best Live Entertainment Design. In addition to theatre and theme parks, Brad also designed for many T.V. and Film Projects. The Aquabats! Supershow on Youtube, YoGabbaGabba! for Apple TV, Nine Years to Neptune on BYU tv, and Best Christmas Ever for Netflix. Brian Reagan on the Rocks for Netflix, Tomb of Joseph, a documentary by Phil Tuckett and T.C. Christensen. Brad has also designed concerts for Marie Osmond, David Archuleta, Gentri, Mat and Savanna Shaw, The Rat Pack is Back, and The Beach Boys, among others. In 2021 Brad started his own company, Thoughtwell Design. He received the 30 in their 30’s award from the St. George Area Chamber of Commerce for his impact on the community and for the success of his new company. Brad has designed productions at venues all over the country for years. This is his first production for Creekside Theatre Fest, and he is very excited to be a part of this new atypical musical.
